Based on the experience of kids who grew up helping out at their immigrant parents' takeout restaurants, this story takes place in Chinatown NYC. Xiao Hong is tasked with the job of delivering takeout orders to customers while on her way to prepare for the Chinese New Year feast at Grandma’s house.
